Mae Read

Words can't say enough about the super sensitive brush control of Mae Read!

Fall has inspired me to paint these pears at harvest time.

Scott Wadell

I love the dramatic lighting that Scott Wadell manages to capture in his work. Facinating to watch his figure portraits evolve from the substrate as he painstakingly fleshes out the details!

Anamorphic drawing

I'm really intrigued by artists that can convincingly trick your eye with a pencil and paper. I'd really like to try this technique. I've dabbled a bit with similar "illusion" type things in some of my paintings, like painting a faux frame and then allowing some of the paintings content to "leak out" over the edge of the frame and into the room with the viewer.

Non Sequiter - by Dan Murphy
This is my painting Non Sequiter

I guess I consider this akin to "breaking the 4th wall" in painting form.

I'm excited to design and create a new painting with an anamorphic image.
